Patrizia Levi was born in Florence, Italy and has been a resident of New York City for four decades. A major exhibition of her work was held at the Pananti Gallery in Florence in 1993, accompanied by a fifty-eight page illustrated catalog published by Edizioni Pananti in Florence. A second exhibition of twenty-six paintings was held at the Graduate School of Medical Sciences of Cornell University in New York City in 1995-96. Levi's work is included in important collections in Florence, Rome, London and New York City.
Dr. Levi received her training in Psychiatry at Cornell University Medical College, where she has held an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry for many years. Married since 1962 to the physician Roberto Levi, Professor of Pharmacology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, she has two sons and one granddaughter. She lives and works in New York City and visits Florence regularly.
